Plant Hire FAQs
Is insurance included in plant hire?
Insurance cover is not included in the quote. If you do not arrange your own insurance certificate, we will cover the equipment in the event of damage, adding a 12% damage wavier charged on the invoices along with applicable excess.
Do you deliver plant hire equipment?
We can organise delivery to site – we will negotiate rates for mobilisation and demobilisation with you.
Is there a minimum hire period?
Usually, a minimum hire period of one month applies, with hour usage requirements that apply within that month. For longer hires, we can tailor your hire contract.
Do you offer machine hire at hourly, daily, weekly and monthly rates?
We can provide quotes in all of the above time units. Generally, roller hire, water cart hire and service truck hire is quoted monthly; excavator hire, loader hire, and dozer hire is quoted hourly.
What are your payment terms for machine hire?
Our standard payment terms are 30 days from invoice date.
Is your plant equipment mine site compliant?
All our machines are fitted with 75mm Hi Vis taping, emergency stops, battery and starter isolators, fire extinguishers, UHF radios and other mine safety requirements.
Can you arrange parts (such as repair parts, service kits, or GET)?
We are happy to assist in sourcing parts on your behalf and will invoice separately.
What is the hire process for plant equipment?
- Contact us at Hire@primequip.com.au explaining the machine(s) you need, size/tonnage/capacity, quality/spec, hire start date and hire duration.
- We will email you a formal quote.
- Accept the quote.
- We email a hire contract for you to sign.
- Return a signed copy of the contract to us.
